We have just started the eclipse season, with a powerful and rare annular solar eclipse on April 19. As a result of the powerful eclipse, I’m feeling a wave of energy, seeking to be expressed, the culmination of my inner journey and self-reflection over the last few months. May these words find their way to help someone on their journey of healing.
Sometimes, it takes a few reminders,
From an unloving partner, a critical parent, a demanding boss, or a judging friend,
Who did not give us the love we wanted,
Who did not reflect to us our worthiness and deservingness of love, just as we are,
In order for us to finally wake up from the trance of unworthiness.
This trance makes us believe that everything we need
Comes from outside of ourselves.
That love, connection, belonging, acceptance and validation
Can only come from an external authority.
That we can only be deemed lovable, worthy, and whole
Through their eyes, words of affirmation, and nods of approval.
When they turn their backs against us,
We feel disconnected, rejected, and worthless.
This is the trance that keeps us from claiming our powers,
That puts everyone else’s needs above our own,
And unrequited lovers on the pedestal above ourselves.
What we don’t see, behind the veils of illusion,
Is that we had made sacred contracts with these souls
Before we descended down on Earth
To help us wake up from our amnesia.
To recognize our true self,
To claim our worth, beauty, and grace.
To see that we are beautiful beings of light,
Worthy and deserving of love.
In fact, we are made of love.
Our potentials are infinite.
We have the power within to thrive,
To lead a life that we desire,
To become who we are always meant to be.
Even our parents,
Who might have created our core wound,
So deep that we thought we’d never recover.
They have also agreed to play a part,
In our journey of evolution,
To help us evolve in this lifetime.
So see the blessings behind every experience,
Feel the gratitude for these soul lessons,
Forgive and release our resentment,
So we can reclaim those pieces of our soul essence
That we have given away.
Believe in our ability to heal,
Step by step,
Little by little.
That’s how we remove the thick layers of illusion.
Because eventually, the veil will be lifted
And we will wake up from the trance of unworthiness
To see our truth.
Believe in a new reality today,
A new possibility,
And let go of old patterns
That begged for others’ breadcrumbs of approval and affection.
True love starts with the love we hold for ourselves.
When we recognize the beauty within our soul,
See the sparkles in our eyes when our are lit up from the inside,
And hear our heart singing its desires,
We reconnect with our true selves.
We realize that this is where we wanted to be all along.
So come home to yourself,
See the beauty of your own reflection,
Embrace the tenderness of your heart,
And let the unique light of your soul shine.
Often times when we seek connection, we are seeking for a feeling of belonging, appreciation, that warm hug and welcoming look that tells us we are safe to be here.
While we yearn to be acknowledged and recognized, we don’t always get that sense of connection. As a result, we feel disconnected from the world, from love, and ultimately, from ourselves.
Somewhere along the way, we’ve been told that who we are was not acceptable.
Somewhere along the way, we experienced the pain of rejection.
We shut down, hide in our shells, conceal behind our masks.
We only show the parts of us that will win us validation, approval, acceptance, and praise.
We hide our shadows, the parts of us that make us feel ashamed.
Deep down inside, there’s a longing, a deep yearning, for re-connection, back to ourselves and especially those parts of us we have long disowned.
Because they still exist in our energetic field. They are still a part of us.
Healing comes when we re-connect with the rejected parts of us. Healing comes when we can fully see ourselves and see our truths, without the veils and disillusionment, the old, conditioned beliefs.
Healing comes when we recognize our intrinsic beauty. Not the physical beauty, but the beauty that emanates from within, when we give ourselves the permission to let our true essence shine.
When we can stop seeking external validation and truly look at our reflections with unconditional love, compassion, and acceptance, we can then return to wholeness and the beauty that we are.
So recognize the beauty within, just as you are. You are beautiful, like the wildflowers that bloom at the edge of the cliff, resilient and strong, radiating your unique light.
Connect to your own beauty. And then share it with the world. Because the world deserves to experience your beautiful essence.
